The Project: A Single Voice for the Region
The Emilia-Romagna Chamber Choir was born from a shared vision and collaboration between AERCO (Associazione Emiliano-Romagnola Cori) and the Rocca dei Bentivoglio Foundation. This synergy combines the experience of the most important regional choral association with the cultural vitality of an institution rooted in the Emilia-Romagna region. The goal is to create a group of excellence, capable of representing the musical and artistic richness of our region through a refined repertoire and high-quality vocals.
Our Identity
The Choir aims to be a benchmark for the performance and study of vocal polyphony, ranging from Renaissance repertoire to contemporary experimentation. It is not just a vocal ensemble, but a true laboratory of advanced training and artistic production, where the choristers' talent is enhanced through intensive study programs and performances of national importance.

AERCO
Founded in 1971, AERCO is the cornerstone of choral music in Emilia-Romagna. With over 400 member choirs, it promotes musical culture, conductor training, and the organization of international festivals. To this project, AERCO contributes its technical expertise and its extensive network of industry professionals.
Rocca dei Bentivoglio Foundation
A vibrant center of cultural life in Valsamoggia, the Foundation manages museums, archives, and music schools. Its participation guarantees the Choir a prestigious venue and an inseparable link with the promotion of local cultural and historical heritage.
Activities and Productions
The Emilia-Romagna Chamber Choir is involved in:
Concerts and Festivals: Regular presence at major regional and national choral festivals.
Recordings: Production of publishing projects dedicated to unpublished or particularly valuable repertoire.
Masterclasses: Meetings with internationally renowned conductors and teachers to constantly raise the ensemble's technical level.
Artistic Direction
For the three-year period 2026-2028, the leadership of the Emilia-Romagna Chamber Choir has been entrusted to Maestro Marco Cavazza. His appointment marks the beginning of an ambitious artistic journey, aimed at consolidating the ensemble's identity through high-profile polyphonic programming and innovative sound research.
